Privat24 now has the ability to buy tickets for European railways. How it works

Ukrainians can now buy tickets for domestic and international rail trips across Europe directly in the Privat24 mobile application (in the "Transport" section) or on the bank's special website .

You can buy a ticket for flights in Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Denmark and France. Both domestic routes (for example, within Germany) and intercity connections between countries (in particular, Warsaw - Prague or Vienna - Warsaw) are available.

How to issue and use a ticket

• Registration and seats: Search is carried out by the names of European stations in Ukrainian. The option to independently select a seat in the carriage is currently unavailable - the system assigns it automatically. You can buy no more than nine tickets at a time. Reservation without payment is not possible.

• Boarding: After payment, simply show the electronic ticket to the ticket inspector from your smartphone screen. There is no need to exchange it at the station ticket office. To board, you must have a valid passport, and for children, a birth certificate or a child's passport.

• Commission: A bank commission of 4% of the cost of each ticket is charged upon purchase.

Return restrictions and policies

• Data changes: It is technically impossible to change the date, time, place or passenger's name after registration. If plans have changed, the invalid ticket must be returned and a new one purchased. However, if up to three errors in the name or surname are made during registration, the ticket will still be considered valid.

• Refunds: You can do this through the ticket archive in the app. Refunds are processed within two banking days, but the amount of the refund depends on the individual rules of the selected European carrier.

• Baggage: It is not yet possible to issue additional tickets for transporting animals, bicycles, or strollers through the service.

PrivatBank reminds that it is impossible to pay for tickets for international flights of Ukrzaliznytsia itself through the bank's channels - this option is currently blocked by the national carrier. For travel within Ukraine, ticket payment is traditionally opened 20 days before departure.
