In Kyiv, a hit was recorded on the territory of the Protasov business park, which houses the offices of Ukrainian and international IT companies, as well as telecommunications infrastructure facilities. As a result of the strike, the Cosmonova data center premises were damaged, and the work of the FAUST/FastNet internet provider began to be disrupted.
In particular, GlobalLogic Ukraine and the Cosmonova Broadcast data center operate on the territory of the complex at 2/1 Mykola Hrinchenko Street.
PROTASOV Business Park is a class B+ facility located near the center of the capital. The complex has its own autonomous infrastructure - in particular, a boiler room and a transformer substation, as well as a shelter with hot water and Wi-Fi.
dev.ua has reached out to GlobalLogic Ukraine and Cosmonova Broadcast for comments.
Kyiv-based provider FAUST/FastNet reported that after the strike in the city center, a "general accident" occurred, causing Internet outages. As of the evening of September 25, the company's specialists had fixed the problem.
UPD. Cosmonova confirmed that the Russian strike damaged the data center premises, but the company's employees were not injured.
"Regarding the DC|COSMONOVA infrastructure: thanks to geographic redundancy, all client data is preserved. Services continue to function on backup sites, but we emphasize possible temporary disruptions in work," the company noted.
Cosmonova engineers and technicians are currently carefully assessing the extent of the damage.
Internet provider Etherlink only restored services this morning after the main node was damaged, and three other local providers are still continuing restoration work for some of their subscribers.
