German Quantum Systems is preparing a new expansion of cooperation with the Ukrainian defense sector: the company plans to launch two more joint ventures with local manufacturers.
This is reported by «Military» with reference to the press service of Quantum Systems. According to the company, the new projects are to be officially announced this week in Berlin during a high-level political meeting. We are talking about the launch of two additional joint ventures within the framework of the Build with Ukraine initiative, but their specialization and the names of the partners have not yet been disclosed.
This will not be the first such project of Quantum Systems with the Ukrainian side. The company already works through Quantum Frontline Industries, a joint venture created together with Frontline Robotics. It was at this base in Germany that the production of Ukrainian drones «Zoom» and «Linza» was launched, which are then supplied to the Defense Forces in volumes determined by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
One of the most important markers for the new stage of cooperation is the pace of scaling up the current production. The QFI site is currently ramping up production of 10,000 multi-purpose Linza 3.0 quadcopters for the Ukrainian army, and the first batch of these systems was transferred to the customer at the end of March 2026. Quantum Systems separately emphasizes that the joint production model has already proven its efficiency: production processes in Germany were launched in a matter of weeks, and the Ukrainian Frontline Robotics team provided personnel training and preparation of the operational model.
Plans for new joint ventures indicate a change in the format of cooperation between Western manufacturers and the Ukrainian defense industry. While previously foreign companies were mostly suppliers of ready-made solutions, now they are moving to joint production with Ukrainian partners. This model allows for faster scaling of equipment production, adapting it to the requirements of the front, and partially transferring production processes closer to the user.
