«The largest number of volunteers are registered in Kharkiv and Kyiv regions. At the same time, even without registration, Ukrainians continue to collect aid for banks: this year, it is already almost UAH 40 billion. This is 1.4 times more than last year. 410 hryvnias is the average amount of donations to banks», — the Opendatabot study notes.
This year, about 3,500 people joined the register. people — an average of more than 300 people every month. The largest number of new volunteers joined the register in January and May: 548 and 533, respectively.
At the same time, 202 people have been excluded from the register since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 127 people this year.
«However, not only officially registered volunteers help the army and hold meetings, but also ordinary people, in particular, collecting funds for banks in Mono. 115,000 people open volunteer banks every month this year. For comparison, last year, 1.3 times fewer people opened meetings — about 85,000. It should be noted that, for the sake of convenience, both volunteers and the military themselves can conduct meetings at the bank — it is currently impossible to single out a clear category of bank owners.
Opendatabot also notes that Ukrainians began to donate more often to banks, rather than to large foundations and charities.
