PolyTECH EDU is designed as a space where university education meets practical experience in the technology industry. Over five weeks, participants will work with experts, participate in practical modules and workshops, and complete interactive business tasks. The training will take place in four tracks:
The program format is online, which allows students from any region of Ukraine to participate.
One of the key ideas of PolyTECH EDU is to help students better understand the opportunities of the technology industry while still at university. That is why the program combines an educational component with practice and interaction with business representatives.
"Ukraine needs a new generation of engineers and specialists in tech industries, but for this, young people must see the prospect of professional development. PolyTECH EDU gives students the opportunity to go beyond the academic program, gain practical experience, work with industry experts, and better understand their own professional direction. Our task is to show that the technological future can not only be imagined, but also created in Ukraine," notes Pavlo Mykhailiuk, Development Director of UNIT.City.
Participants will not only gain new knowledge, but also work on practical tasks, get acquainted with the approaches used in modern tech, and better understand what competencies are needed for further professional development. This corresponds to the broader goal of the PolyTECH Project - to show young people that they do not need to leave Ukraine to build a technological career and to strengthen Ukrainian education with the experience and expertise of international companies.
PolyTECH EDU is the educational component of the PolyTECH Project, a national educational and innovative project that unites technical and polytechnic institutions of higher education in Ukraine to develop engineering education, innovation, and build a technological career in Ukraine. The structure of the PolyTECH Project also includes the educational component PolyTECH Dual, regional PolyTECH Bootcamps, and the final PolyTECH Summit.
The project promotes interaction between students, young engineers, universities, technology companies, experts and the state. For students, it is an opportunity to work with current cases and receive mentoring support from industry professionals, and for universities, to integrate practical experience and current industry approaches into the educational environment. Last year's program involved more than 50 higher education institutions and more than 1,200 students.
The PolyTECH Project is organized by UNIT.City with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The project also includes Crédit Agricole as a partner bank, Vodafone Ukraine as a partner, EUNITED Digital Hub as an ecosystem partner, and Bolt as a friendly partner. Together, they help create more opportunities for students, strengthen the connection between education and industry, and develop an environment for technological careers for young people in Ukraine.
