The appointment was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on Telegram .
According to RBC-Ukraine, Reva was mobilized immediately after the start of the full-scale invasion: he first served in the Central Military District in Poltava, then transferred to the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade. In the Zaporizhia direction, together with his brother Igor, he was engaged in the digitalization of personnel processes in the military unit.
Later, Reva joined the development of the "Army+" and "Reserve+" applications at the Ministry of Defense, and also served in the Main Intelligence Directorate. He holds the rank of major.
In April 2026, KAI introduced Reva as the new head of the military department — then he announced plans to involve military personnel with combat experience in teaching, and to add work with drones, ground robotic complexes, and DELTA and "Kropyva" digital systems to the training of cadets.
Before Reva, Oksana Ferchuk was responsible for the digital direction at the Ministry of Defense, who headed the Ministry of Digital Transformation in July 2026. At the Ministry of Defense, she worked on digital and logistics projects and the development of the digital vertical in the military.
