"You'll survive the summer first." How did Ukrainians respond to the threats of the Russian Ministry of Defense about "freezing" in winter with memes?
The Russian Defense Ministry threatened Ukraine with a "freeze" in the winter - and almost immediately received a wave of Ukrainian memes about Flamingo, drones, and burning Russian refineries in response.
The Russian Defense Ministry threatened Ukraine with a "freeze" in the winter - and almost immediately received a wave of Ukrainian memes about Flamingo, drones, and burning Russian refineries in response.
The Ukrainian response was not long in coming. For example, the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published an image of a burning oil refinery with the caption "Let's warm ourselves with the fire of Russian refineries."
"Let's warm ourselves by the fire of Russian refineries."
Ordinary Ukrainians on social media have also joined in creating memes. For example, one meme shows Ukrainian Flamingos flying from the sky with the caption “Even if there are stones from the sky.” The Flamingos have already flown to the Votkinsk plant in Russia, where ballistic missiles are produced.
"At least stones from the sky"
The First Private Memorial has reinterpreted the Russian "snow on the head" in its own way: Volodymyr Zelenskys are already flying from the sky here on small planes.
"The planes are flying, we will bomb everyone"
Fire Point also joined the meme wave. In July, their FP-1, depicted in the meme, flew to the Omsk Refinery, Russia's largest oil refinery.
FP-1 — like snow on your head
Another meme was built on a play on words: next to the phrase “We need your snow for…”, a P1-Sun drone was depicted. According to its manufacturer, SkyFall, since November 2025, the P1-SUN has already hit more than 5,500 Russian “Shaheeds”.
"We need your snow..."
In another meme, we can see a burning "shaheed" and a prediction that the snow will still fall, and scumbags - the same.
"The snow will come down, the scumbags will too"
It also happened to the Russian two-headed eagle, which turned into a frozen two-headed chicken.
"Frozen all over"
And in this meme, a cat in an embroidered shirt reminds of the attacks on Russian oil infrastructure, resting against the backdrop of burning Russian refineries. “You’ll survive the summer first,” he responds to the threats.

Previously, dev.ua collected memes from Ukrainians after the SBU's "Web" operation, during which drones attacked Russian strategic aviation. Then the heroes of the jokes were Vasyl Malyuk, trucks with drones, and burning Russian planes.
