Gunder posted a message on Facebook in which he noted that Russian missiles attacked one of the largest American investments in Ukraine — Flex, an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce.
«Russia continues to destroy and humiliate American businesses in Ukraine, targeting companies that invest and trade in American stock markets. Russia is not only destroying Ukraine — it is undermining US leadership, values, and business. Russia does not seek peace, it is attacking American interests and values,» said Andriy Gunder.
He called on Donald Trump to support American business in Ukraine and «the values on which America is built.»
«Show Putin that the United States protects its citizens,» emphasized the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
Gunder added that it was only thanks to strict security measures that none of the company’s employees were killed in the Russian missile attack. He also said that he traveled to Mukachevo to see for himself the destruction the Russians had caused to the Flex plant.
It is currently known that rescuers from the State Emergency Service managed to localize the fire at the factory, and the number of victims from the attack has increased to 19 people. One victim is in serious condition.
Recall that the Russian army launched a missile strike on the city of Mukachevo in Transcarpathia on the night of August 21. The attack damaged a plant of the American company Flex International, which specializes in the production of electronics. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the presence of American business is a guarantee of security from Russian aggression.
