"If we come to an agreement, your business will not suffer": scammers send letters to Ukrainian entrepreneurs demanding ransom for "not being hit" by drones
Ukrainian businessmen have begun receiving anonymous emails with threats and blackmail allegedly from the "owners of Shahed." The scammers are offering businesses to pay off so that their facilities will not become targets for air strikes.
Ukrainian businessmen have begun receiving anonymous emails with threats and blackmail allegedly from the "owners of Shahed." The scammers are offering businesses to pay off so that their facilities will not become targets for air strikes.
This fraudulent scheme was brought to the attention of radio technology specialist and military expert Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov, who urged Ukrainians to use common sense and not succumb to manipulation.
In a screenshot of the letter, which Flash showed on its Telegram channel, the attackers claim that gas stations, warehouses, and logistics facilities of specific companies have allegedly already been included in the list of "military targets."
In the text of the threats, the scammers convince that the only way to avoid the attacks is to pay money and contact them via the Restor33 contact in Telegram. At the same time, they try to intimidate entrepreneurs, convincing them not to contact law enforcement agencies and the SBU, because it supposedly "will not change anything."
Serhiy Beskrestnov stressed that such statements are ordinary psychological pressure and fraud, designed to cause panic. He expressed the hope that Ukrainian entrepreneurs will have the wisdom not to believe such nonsense and not transfer money to the attackers.
UPD. The Russians massively attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and jet drones at night. Among the targets were Nova Poshta, Rozetka, and Epicenter.
