During the Eurosatory 2026 international exhibition in Paris, the Ukrainian defense-tech company Rovertech and the French STRONGHOLD AI signed a memorandum of cooperation, which will join the TARANTULA active defense program as a technology partner.
The cooperation involves the joint development of solutions to counter unmanned aerial threats and increase the survivability of ground robotic complexes, vehicles, and stationary objects, Rovertech reports.
TARANTULA is Rovertech's active defense program aimed at creating solutions to detect and counter short-range aerial threats. The first phase of the program focuses on protecting ground robotic complexes from FPV drones.
The first joint development within the partnership will be AURA, an intelligent system for detecting and tracking aerial threats, which uses artificial intelligence, computer vision and sensory analysis technologies. Within the TARANTULA program, AURA is to become one of the key elements of the future active protection system for robotic platforms.
"The signing of the memorandum was another step in the development of international cooperation around the TARANTULA ecosystem and confirmation of the growing interest of foreign technology companies in working together on solutions created based on Ukrainian combat experience," the Ukrainian defense-tech company noted.
STRONGHOLD AI is a French technology company specializing in solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor technologies and autonomous systems. The company develops technologies for the detection, classification and tracking of threats for the defense and security sectors.
