During the full-scale war, iOS Developer Dmytro Cheverda from Ternopil transferred more than UAH 25 million for the needs of the Defense Forces.
This was reported by the "Return Alive" foundation, to which the IT worker donated UAH 10 million.
Dmytro has been in IT for over 10 years, working at the Kyiv company SQUAD.
His first donation to "Come Back Alive" — 10,000 UAH — arrived two days before February 24, 2022. Within a month, Dmytro increased the amount tenfold, and later donated the first million.
At first, Dmytro donated from the money he had saved for apartment renovations and moving to Lviv. Later, his mobile game for iOS began to generate a stable income, which he directs to donations.
"I don't spend much money on myself. Except that I can sometimes go a little overboard with books - I buy a lot. The rest is for charity," says the developer.
Dmytro hesitated for a long time whether to tell the general public that he would actively donate and indicate the amounts.
"This is probably a complex of children of the 90s: the idea is fixed in the head that you can't brag, no matter what you do. But friends pushed, saying that it's worth talking about, because that's how the right trends appear and are fixed. So I overcame myself and told everyone on Twitter about the donations. I thought people would write, saying, what am I bragging about. But in fact, the reaction turned out to be quite adequate, which could not but please," said Dmytro in an interview for DOU last year.
