According to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the development and production of the Klin drone is being carried out by the Russian Roboavia LLC. The drone was presented in October 2025, and in February of this year it was first shot down by fighters of the 118th separate mechanized brigade.
Despite loud statements by Russian developers about "import substitution" and "analogization", the analysis of the drone showed that it is critically dependent on Western and Asian technologies. Its contents revealed microcircuits, boards, and engines manufactured in at least six countries (including China, Taiwan, Switzerland, and others), which once again confirms Russia's circumvention of international sanctions through networks of intermediaries.
An important difference of "Klyna" is the use of machine vision technology with the ability to automatically capture a target, implemented on the basis of the Nvidia Jetson TX2 computer module (USA).
The flight controller uses an affordable commercial Cube Orange solution (Australia), the navigation system is implemented by the Holybro F9P module (PRC), which has RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) mode to increase accuracy. Communication is provided by a LoRa radio modem, the main element of which is the Ra-01H radio module manufactured by Ai-Thinker (PRC).
Another characteristic feature of the UAV is the presence of a developed front control wing, which allows you to adjust the approach course to the target at different angles of attack at different speeds.
