Russians have probably started treating Shaheds with poisonous substances
Several sources in military structures reported that Russian forces may have begun using chemically treated Shahed 136 ("Geran-2") UAVs, treating the drones' hulls with toxic substances.
Several sources in military structures reported that Russian forces may have begun using chemically treated Shahed 136 ("Geran-2") UAVs, treating the drones' hulls with toxic substances.
InformNapalm, citing military sources, notes that the substances may pose a threat to civilians or military personnel approaching the wreckage after the aircraft are shot down.
Russia has scientific institutions engaged in the development of combat toxic substances, and the use of chemical weapons for political and military purposes has been recorded more than once - both on the territory of the Russian Federation itself and beyond. In particular, the enemy systematically uses various chemical compounds against the Ukrainian Defense Forces, despite the fact that this contradicts the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
However, it is possible that the information could be part of a psychological pressure campaign. The Russian army has repeatedly spread fake news about new types of weapons or “secret weapons” to sow fear and panic among Ukrainians. According to Sergey “Flash” Bezkrestnov, the Russians often launch UAVs without warheads to test how far the drone can fly and counter Ukrainian electronic warfare systems.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine called on citizens to be more careful after the attacks of the "Shaheeds", as the enemy is loading UAVs with explosive devices, which are scattered by the drones on the route to the main target. The explosive elements, which look like a cylinder, have a delayed principle of action and can detonate within several hours after being dropped.
Recall that Ukraine has already created several "Shaheed" interceptor drones, in particular from the companiesWild Hornets and Aero Bavovna . Of the latter, the latest Ukrainian development has already shot down 20 air targets, as we reported earlier.
Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Sukharevskiy: "We are starting to shoot down the "shaheeds" with FPV drones. And this is already giving real results"
