This is the startup’s first product, and it is focused specifically on helping Ukrainian citizens, writes the Brutkasten publication.
«But this is just the beginning. We are creating digital tools that make migration and bureaucracy across Europe fairer, faster and clearer», — mypaperwork.ai noted.
Co-founders Maggie Childs and Benjamin Wolf explained that their startup aims to change the Austrian labor market in the long term. The team also includes Ukrainians, including CTO Serhiy Kauk and Marketing & Customer Anna Ivanova.
For many, the process of immigrating to Austria can be daunting, due to a different language, complex legal requirements and lengthy administrative procedures. But mypaperwork.ai’s AI assistant aims to «bring clarity, structure and security to the Austrian visa application process,» the startup says.
The RWR+ Application Assistant will help Ukrainians who are switching from their Blue Card for displaced persons to the «Red-White-Red Card Plus». There are currently around 88,000 Ukrainians living in Austria. If they want to stay, they will soon have to change their temporary protection status to a long-term residence permit.
With the RWR+ you can live in Austria and work both as a self-employed person and as an employee. The Red-White-Red Card+ is valid for a maximum of 12 months. The card can be extended after one year. After five years, you can apply for permanent residence in the European Union.
mypaperwork.ai offers a digital dashboard that organizes and stores all the necessary documents. Users can view the current status of their application and track the next steps and timelines for their visa application. They also receive step-by-step instructions and support from an AI assistant who can communicate in their native language. The AI also saves the information entered and automatically fills in future forms.
For the founders, the use of AI was a crucial factor in the startup’s development. It allowed them to «make the product scalable, which can work at all levels, both multilingual and for all markets and for all countries of origin». The platform offers different pricing models and subscription support services.
The RWR+ Application Assistant will initially be targeted at a specific target group.
«But the basic architecture remains the same. So during the current launch, we just saw the biggest need and the biggest urgency. But building on that, we will expand it month by month to other types of red-white-red cards and all sorts of bureaucratic processes», — mypaperwork.ai noted.
