The operation was called "Web", during which 41 Russian aircraft were hit, including strategic bombers Tu-95, Tu-22M3, as well as A-50, Il-76MD, Il-78 aircraft. By the way, Tu-95 aircraft are no longer produced. It is possible that A-50, Tu-160/M were hit.
Interesting facts
Fact #1. 29 years ago, on June 1, 1996, Ukraine transferred nuclear weapons and their delivery systems to Russia, including the Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers. At that time, our country officially lost its nuclear status.
Fact #2. On June 1, Russia celebrates the “Day of the Creation of Military Transport Aviation.”
In one of the videos about the attack on the Belaya airfield, the voice of the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, can be heard commenting on the successful "cotton".
"This is how nice the Belaya airfield looks now. Strategic enemy aviation," the head of the SBU commented.
The distance from Belaya airfield to the state border of Ukraine is over 4,700 km, Diaghilev — 700 km, Olenya — 2,000 km, and Ivanovo — 900 km.
There is a video online where a local resident of the Irkutsk region says that the drones that attacked the Belaya airbase took off directly from a truck in the parking lot.
The photo appears to show the same truck from which the drones were launched to hit Russian strategic aircraft at Belaya airfield in Irkutsk region. The driver was reportedly unaware of the drones in the back. He was later found strangled.
The SBU revealed some details of the operation
As blogger and volunteer Igor Lachenkov reports , citing his own sources, the SBU has been preparing Operation "Website" for over a year and a half.
"It was extremely complex from a logistical point of view. The SBU first transported FPV drones to Russia, and later mobile wooden houses. Later, on the territory of the Russian Federation, the drones were hidden under the roofs of houses, already placed on trucks. At the right moment, the roofs of the houses were remotely opened, and the drones flew to strike the Russian bombers," the blogger reports.
Sources in the SBU emphasize that the people who participated in this historic special operation have been in Ukraine for a long time.
