Sense Bank has officially joined the Open Banking system in Ukraine. From now on, the bank's clients will receive even more freedom, convenience and control over their finances thanks to modern technologies for secure data exchange.
The introduction of Open Banking is an important step in the digitalization of the Ukrainian financial sector in accordance with NBU Resolutions No. 80 and No. 82. The technology allows users to securely provide access to information about their accounts or initiate payments through third-party services of their choice.
“The implementation of open banking makes it possible to become the client’s “main bank”, that is, the main point of entry into finance, through which key transactions are carried out and trust in the institution as a whole is formed. At the same time, Open Banking opens up opportunities for launching new services and creating additional sources of income for the bank. For Sense Bank, this is the next level of digital transformation, which will allow us to expand the range of services, ensuring high security standards and the best customer experience,” commented Inna Tyutyun, member of the board, director of IT, retail business and digitalization blocks.
The key feature of open banking is the user's full control over their own financial data. It is the client who decides who, in what volume and for how long to provide access to them. Sense Bank in the Open Banking system is a payment service provider that services customer accounts. The bank provides reliable authentication: identity confirmation and verification of each consent, data security, namely the transfer of information via secure API protocols and strict security standards, flexible management - the ability for the client to review the scope of access and withdraw their consent at any time.
The process of exchanging data or initiating a payment is completely transparent and consists of a few simple steps:
The client contacts a third-party service (TPP), which sends a secure request to Sense Bank.
Sense Bank offers the client to authenticate through the Sense SuperApp application.
The client grants or denies consent to access information or perform a transaction.
The bank transfers only the data or performs only those actions for which permission has been received, after which the user sees the result in the TPP service.
Confirmation of any consent is carried out exclusively through Sense SuperApp. The bank never transfers data without explicit confirmation from the client.
Thanks to account information services (AISP) and payment initiation services (PISP), customers will be able to view accounts, balances and transaction history from different banks in a single convenient application, quickly and securely initiate transfers or pay for goods and services from any account through the selected service, and have full transparency about which companies have access to data, with the ability to revoke it in a couple of clicks.
