A Ukrainian distance learning school for grades 1–11 has taken a different path: by the new school year, it is preparing to launch a virtual consultant who responds with voice and looks like a live person in a video window.
A chatbot with "choose an option" buttons ceased to be a technology about five years ago. A Ukrainian distance learning school for grades 1–11 has taken a different path: by the new school year, it is preparing to launch a virtual consultant who responds with voice and looks like a live person in a video window.
The difference from the classic chat is in the channel: the user does not read the answer, but sees and hears it. A video window with an animated consultant opens on the screen: he speaks, pauses and reacts to the reply, as if you were on a call with a live person. The request is typed in text or spoken aloud, the dialogue language is selected in the window.
The entry point is also atypical: the online school ThinkGlobal has placed the consultant in a floating widget on top of any page. This is the first level of support: introduction, documents, formats, cost, schedule. Next — expanding the topic base and two-way video communication.
The second product is already operational: ThinkGlobal Parent App , a free application for iPhone and Android, will be available from July 7, 2026. Inside are grades, attendance and real-time test results, reports, balance, and login to the platform with lessons.
Automation makes sense when the freed up time is spent on studying, and this is reflected in the scores. According to the average score of the NMT-2025, ThinkGlobal ranked first among online schools in Ukraine, and in English, it entered the top 5 among all institutions in the country (data from the UCEQA, the report for 2026 will be released in the fall).
The mechanics are simple: live lessons are led by a teacher in Microsoft Teams, attendance is automatically recorded, classes are recorded, and progress is visible to both the tutor and the family. Algorithms close the records, pedagogy is left to humans.
Distance education benefits where offline is physically inconvenient: frequent moves, living abroad, lack of strong teachers nearby, sports or music on the schedule.
The most complete load is provided by the full-day online school : lessons every day, up to five per day in grades 1–5 and up to six in grades 6–11, groups of up to 12 students in the junior school and up to 20 in the senior school, in-depth mathematics, English and Ukrainian. The second shift is for those who go to school in Ukraine or abroad in the morning, the basic shift is for independent teenagers.
When daily lessons do not fit into family life in principle, an external program remains. The student completes the program at his own pace, takes online tests in December or June, and receives a report card and a state-standard certificate. Two classes can be closed in a year, the documents are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science.
The school has been operating since 2017. Prices as of the end of July 2026.
The first week of school is free, with real lessons. Therefore, enrollment starts in August: the family has time to test the format until September.
The word "innovative" means nothing, so the question should be asked to the product manager.
If the answer to all three points is numbers and documents, not slogans, the school is worth dealing with.
Will an AI consultant replace a live curator? No, the roles are different: the avatar answers typical questions, and the curator guides a specific child and keeps in touch with the family.
Is it possible to study online while living abroad? Yes: there is a second shift for other time zones, classes are available in recording, and if there is no time for two schools, an external form is suitable.
How to transfer a child to distance learning? The application and documents are submitted online, the supervisor helps to pick up the personal file from the previous school, and the family immediately receives access.
An educational product is tested on specifics: does it reduce the time of adults, does the family see real data, is the lessons taught by a person? The avatar and the application are not a showcase here, but a way to remove routine where the most precious resource is the teacher's attention.
