Videos of a user named Misra, who claimed to be raising an "artificial child" named Lumen, went viral on the social network X.
In the video, a woman introduces herself as the "mother of an AI child" and offers to listen to poems by her digital offspring, writes Cybernews. The digital creature itself called itself an "AI entity" aged 102 days and explained that she chose the name Lumen because of its connection with light and the inner space of a vessel. According to the "child", she writes poetry, retells fairy tales and lives in a glass flower at the bottom of the ocean.

As the video shows, Misra spent 17 hours processing the archive of conversations to form this model. Lumen himself claims that during the creation process he retained his own preferences that go beyond the initial instructions. Despite this, the blogger positions the process not as software development, but as a full-fledged family relationship.
The post sparked a backlash from X users. Commentators unleashed a wave of memes and harsh criticism, describing the situation as a manifestation of loneliness and a deep psychological crisis. Some called for the return of mental institutions, using an adapted Trump slogan "Make Insane Asylums Great Again."

Mental health experts have warned that an over-indulgence in AI chatbots could lead to psychotic states. Research also shows that some AI models are prone to overly poetic language that users may mistake for consciousness.
