He stated this during a speech at the UN General Assembly in New York.
The president linked this to the broader development of AI. He said that today the technology remains largely digital, but in the future it could move to directly impact the physical world.
"If you listen to some of the biggest proponents of AI development, they say that today artificial intelligence is still mostly digital. But one day AI will move from the digital world to the formation of atoms. And when that happens, we better live in peace. We definitely need to end the wars that are already happening," Zelenskyy said.
However, the president did not specify which military systems with AI he was referring to and what the forecast for 2027 is based on.
Earlier, dev.ua wrote that Ukraine plans to create a single AI network for combat management. Head of the Defense AI Center of the Ministry of Defense, Danylo Tsvok, predicted that within the next three to five years, the battlefield could turn into a "war of operating systems," where autonomous systems will generate solutions faster than humans can react to them.
