The assistant gets access to the author's Instagram account metrics — views, new followers, audience retention, likes, and shares. It also takes into account comments under posts, current Instagram trends, and audience interests.
According to Edits CEO Brett Westervelt, AI can find patterns in video results over time and show insights that might be difficult to see just by looking at individual metrics. For example, a creator could ask the assistant which videos have been the most engaging recently or which topics are most likely to elicit a reaction from their audience.
"Edits assistant does the research work for you. The creative decisions are still yours," Westervelt explained.
The number of calls to the AI assistant will be limited. Users can get a higher limit with a Meta One subscription.
YouTube is also preparing a similar tool, but the companies' approaches differ. YouTube wants to allow creators to edit videos themselves using text commands, while Meta is currently focusing primarily on statistical analysis and recommendations.
Previously, dev.ua reported that Meta has begun testing paid subscriptions Meta One Plus and Premium with enhanced AI capabilities. In particular, subscribers receive larger limits on AI functions, image and video generation, and in-depth analysis.
