During the InfoSec Ukraine 2025 information and cybersecurity conference, a representative of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, Ihor Malchenyuk, stunned participants with the statistics of cyber incidents in Ukraine, emphasizing the critical level of threats that the country faces every day.
According to the speaker, 4,315 such cases were registered, which is an average of about 12 major incidents per day. This figure clearly demonstrates the extremely high level of cyber threats that state bodies, critical infrastructure enterprises, and other organizations in Ukraine constantly have to deal with.
The representative of the State Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency emphasized that effective detection, response, and mitigation of such a large number of incidents requires significant resources and highly qualified specialists. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation with the private sector and educational institutions to train such specialists and strengthen the country's overall cyber resilience.
The panelists emphasized that Ukrainian specialists often have significant practical experience in the field of cybersecurity, but experience difficulties with its sale and marketing at the international level. This skill, which is actively developed abroad since school, is a weakness of Ukrainian technical specialists. To quickly monetize Ukrainian experience, it is necessary to learn how to effectively present yourself and sell your services.
Earlier, the head of the Department for the Support of the NCCC's Activities, Serhiy Prokopenko, stated that 20% of global cyberattacks fall on Ukraine.
