Skyeton unveils new Stormbird strike drone that can launch loitering FPV munitions

Ukrainian manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems Skyeton has launched a new development on the market — the Stormbird tactical UAV. The platform is designed to perform high-precision strike missions based on the architecture of the Raybird reconnaissance complex (ACS-3).
This was reported by the company’s press service. At the beginning of the year, the new complex was codified by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and is already being used by units of the Defense Forces to destroy targets.
Stormbird inherited from its predecessor the flight duration, low visibility and resistance to electronic warfare. According to the developers, the Raybird platform has accumulated more than 350,000 hours of combat use, and this experience was used in the creation of a new strike complex.
The main payload options for Stormbird are:
Remora planning ammunition;
Quadremora FPV-type loitering munition;
repeater to provide communication outside the coverage area of terrestrial infrastructure.

The platform’s compact airframe is designed to minimize radar signature, and the increased level of autonomy allows the drone to be used in dynamic combat conditions.
“Our vision is to create a comprehensive ecosystem of small aircraft-type UAVs capable of performing reconnaissance, detection, target identification tasks, and now delivering high-precision strikes in conditions where manned aircraft or even larger UAVs cannot operate,” said Skyeton CEO Roman Kniazhenko.
Ukrainian Raybird reconnaissance drones are being purchased by the US Army. Skyeton received a contract for $10.64 million. What technologies from the US may appear in Ukrainian drones?
