Sweden allocates almost 600 million hryvnias to strengthen Ukraine's cybersecurity

The Swedish International Development Agency Sida is providing a new assistance package under the Tallinn Mechanism, an international initiative that coordinates assistance from 11 partner countries to strengthen cyber resilience.
Sida's funding will come through ESTDEV, the Estonian government foundation responsible for managing and implementing international development and humanitarian aid projects.
"In 2024 alone, more than 2,000 cyberattacks were carried out on the public sector and state bodies. Thanks to Sida's support, we will implement projects so that the digital state works smoothly and Ukrainians can use online services under any conditions," the Ministry of Digital Affairs said in a statement.
This is not the first time Sweden has supported Ukraine in its fight against neo-colonial Russia. The Swedish government has pledged to transfer to Ukraine ASC 890 early warning radar aircraft, which will significantly strengthen its air defense capabilities.
Last week, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that every employee of the Ministry of Digital Transformation has "special AI-based software" installed on their laptop, which analyzes user behavior to combat cyberthreats.
