Slack launches dedicated channels for teamwork with AI agents. How does it work?

Slack has introduced Slack Code, a dedicated channel where teams can collaborate with AI agents to code. The feature currently supports Claude Code, Devin, Vercel Agent, and GitHub Copilot.
The feature is available on all Slack plans. The user can tag the AI assistant in a conversation and give it a task — for example, fix a bug, add a feature, or change a page. The agent then creates a separate channel for the work. Inside the channel, the team can see the conversation with the agent, their work plan, and code diff — that is, the specific lines they added, removed, or changed. And for HTML, you can also see a preview of the result.
Channel participants can intervene in the process: give the agent additional instructions, check the changes, and approve the result before the code moves on. When the task is completed, such a channel is automatically archived, but a log with history remains, where you can see what task the agent received, what team members wrote to him, and what changes he made.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that Anthropic already allows you to run Claude Code directly from Slack threads.
