Almost all purchases in the monomarket are made by customers through «Purchase in installments.» The share of such transactions reaches 97%.
This was stated by Iryna Starominska, the Chairman of the Board of Universal Bank (monobank), during E-Commerce Day 2026. According to her, the monomarket is actually built around the mechanics of installment payments.
«Monomarket is our platform and 97% of our customers make purchases using ‘Purchases in Parts’,» Starominskaya was quoted as saying by LIGA.net. She explained that although the service is integrated into the Monobank application, it is essentially a separate product line with its own business logic.
The bank also notes that the NBU is gradually tightening requirements for installment services. In particular, the regulator does not allow deviations from the approved payment schedule: clients must repay purchases in accordance with the terms of the signed agreement.
In addition, the National Bank is working to limit excessive debt of Ukrainians. According to Starominskaya, the regulator requires that such obligations be transferred to the credit limit of the card.
