Ukrainian startup NeoLens has updated its AI assistant for the military and added instructions for operating infantry weapons.
As reported by "Military", the new version of the solution is built on the processing of official technical documentation. After the update, users can more quickly find the necessary instructions for the maintenance, preparation and use of specific systems without having to work with full manuals.
The assistant database has been updated with information on the M249, M240, and Browning M2 machine guns, the Mk 19, and HK GMG automatic grenade launchers, as well as the Javelin and NLAW ATGMs, and the Stinger and Piorun MANPADS. Separately, the service provides instructions for the Carl Gustaf, Panzerfaust 3, M72 LAW, SMAW, M141 BDM, and AT4.
The chatbot also integrated data on the RGW-90, Instalaza C90, Armbrust, RPG-75, RPG-76, and Bulspike. That is, the update covers not one narrow category, but several types of infantry weapons that the military uses: from machine guns and grenade launchers to anti-tank and anti-aircraft systems.
In fact, the service works as a quick technical assistant, allowing you to avoid flipping through dozens of pages of documentation manually, and instead get the necessary piece of information on request. For such systems, this may concern the order of preparation for work, operating rules, basic maintenance, or individual procedures.
The developers also announced that they have taken into account user feedback and are preparing a new medical assistant. It should contain algorithms for first aid and tips for actions in critical situations. In addition, the platform already has AI agents for automotive technology, as well as specialized assistants with limited access.
In this case, it is not only the update itself that is important, but also its applied nature. NeoLens expands the assistant not with abstract answers, but with an array of instructions for specific models of Western weapons already used by the Ukrainian military.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how NeoLens, an American deep-tech startup with Ukrainian roots, announced the launch of an AI assistant for diagnosing and repairing military equipment, which it calls “the first in the world.” It can work offline, directly on the battlefield.
