Ukrainian Space Forces will receive satellites from Western partners

This is reported by the publication LIGA.net. According to the people’s deputy, the Ministry of Defense and the Main Intelligence Directorate are already working on this.
Earlier, the government published the program of activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which provides for a number of tasks for the Ministry of Defense. One of them is to create the Space Forces by December 31, 2025.
Fedir Venislavsky is one of the authors of the law on the creation of the Space Forces within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He noted that the Defense Committee recommended that the Rada adopt amendments to the law on the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the creation of the Space Forces. Work on the organization of a new branch of the military may begin soon.
«I won’t say how many, but these are satellites that will be provided or sold to us by partners,» Venislavsky said.
It recently became known that the Ukrainian remote sensing satellite «Sich-2-30» completed its orbital mission. The descent from orbit occurred on the night of October 8-9, Kyiv time.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada registered a bill on the creation of the Space Forces, which was supported by the Ministry of Defense. The goal of the bill is to give the Armed Forces of Ukraine the ability to counter threats from space, in particular missile strikes similar to the Russian attacks through international space.
