Priest and former gaming journalist Calvin Robinson imitated the so-called “Nazi salute” during an anti-abortion speech on January 25, referencing a similar gesture by Elon Musk that he made after Donald Trump’s inauguration.
He soon declared that it was “a joke and he is not actually a Nazi.” But the Anglican Catholic Church stripped him of his rank.
My heart goes out to you.

“While we do not know what was in Mr. Robinson’s mind at the time, we believe his actions were an attempt to gain approval from and provoke opposition from certain elements of the American political right. However, those who imitate the Nazi salute, even as a joke or an attempt to troll their opponents, downplay the horror of the Holocaust,” the church said.
Calvin Robinson also owned the gaming website God is a Geek and served as its executive editor from 2009 to 2016. His last article was published in 2019 and was about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In recent years, the editorial team at God is a Geek has "operated independently of Robinson," but he still owns it. After Calvin's "Nazi gesture," all editors resigned, and one of the authors announced the creation of a new publication.
