According to Russian media, the Ozon warehouse in the Samara region was on fire as a result of a strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Ozon press service confirmed the hit and added that the facility had stopped working. More than 500 workers were evacuated from the warehouse immediately before the attack, but several people were injured. According to Astra, the warehouse is in Chapayevsk.
Astra also writes that after the attack, the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery also caught fire along with the Ozon warehouse.
Ozon is the second largest Russian marketplace. There have been no reports of attacks on its warehouses by Ukraine so far.
The Ukrainian company Fire Point has already congratulated Ukraine’s successful attacks on its social media with the words «Well, the first one went.» They added that the attacks were carried out using their FP-1 drones.
Fire Point also reminded that the Ozon logistics hub in Chapayevsk is one of the company’s largest fulfillment centers in the Volga region. Its total area after the launch of all queues is about 135,000 m², and its capacity is over 40 million goods. The hub processes over 215 thousand orders per day.
