An inventor from Kryvyi Rih has developed a thermal capsule - a "house within a house" for warming without heating
Yuriy Kolesnyk from Kryvyi Rih has been working on the topic of autonomy and survival in extreme conditions for decades. This came in handy during the power outages after the Russian shelling. The inventor patented his own method of thermal insulation, and later developed a thermal capsule.
Yuriy Kolesnyk from Kryvyi Rih has been working on the topic of autonomy and survival in extreme conditions for decades. This came in handy during the power outages after the Russian shelling. The inventor patented his own method of thermal insulation, and later developed a thermal capsule.
Five years ago, Yuriy made a thermal capsule from scrap materials on the first floor of his house. He says that "every Ukrainian can do the same for himself and stay warm." For this, you can use ordinary interior items: a wardrobe, a table, a rug, etc., as well as materials such as boards, cardboard, fabric, and polyethylene.

According to the inventor, the capsule retains heat according to the principle of a thermos: the more protective walls with air layers, the less cold gets inside. The main rule: install near an interior wall and ventilate often.

"It heats up, enough human heat to warm up from 10 degrees to 20 in half an hour. This is insulation, people lived like this for centuries and there was no heating, even castles were not heated. The sleeping place was covered with a canopy," Yuriy told Suspilny in an interview.
More than 10 years ago, a resident of Kryvyi Rih insulated the second floor of a house using the multi-chamber principle, and then patented his invention.
The inventor noted that by using air layers and chambers as a thermal insulation material, it is possible to significantly save energy, despite the sub-zero temperature outside. He added that the house meets the "zero-ce" energy saving standard, which provides for the possibility of heating the room to a normal temperature only due to human heat.

The second floor of the house is now an experiment in which he made his own heated floor that heats up quickly and reacts to movement. He also uses electricity from solar panels and a windmill, and when needed, he spins a bicycle generator that he made himself.
“I have an invulnerability point in my room, solar panels in the window, a controller, and this is where I charge my devices,” Yuriy concluded.
