The all-Ukrainian competition "Financial World 2030" has launched in Ukraine - for schoolchildren in grades 9-11 and students of colleges and higher education institutions. Participants are invited to reflect on how money has changed, how the financial system works today, and what it may become in the future.
The all-Ukrainian competition "Financial World 2030" has launched in Ukraine - for schoolchildren in grades 9-11 and students of colleges and higher education institutions. Participants are invited to reflect on how money has changed, how the financial system works today, and what it may become in the future.
As reported on the website of the organizers of the EDTOP competition, the acceptance of works will continue until December 31, 2026 inclusive. The shortlist will be published on January 20, 2027, and the winners will be announced on February 2.
Students participate in an essay format. Suggested topics include the history of money, living without cash, financial literacy, trust in money, and how technology can change everyday payments.
Students are offered two formats: an analytical essay or a hands-on digital project. Topics include financial privacy, digital wallets, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, the global financial system, and the future of payments.
In the practical category, you can create a website, app, Telegram bot, calculator, educational game, AI tool, or other prototype that helps people better understand finances or use them more safely.
There is a separate special nomination “Financial Services of the Future” from Trustee Plus. Works on topics marked with an asterisk automatically participate in this nomination.
Cash prizes are available for students in the essay category: 500 USDC for first place, 300 USDC for second place, and 200 USDC for third place.
The winner of the practical projects will receive a 3D printer. For schoolchildren, the prizes are a game console for first place, an iPhone for second, and a smartwatch for third. All authors of works that make it to the shortlist will receive personalized electronic diplomas.
The organizers also allow the use of generative AI as an auxiliary tool, but the main content, argumentation, and conclusions must belong to the author.

The goal of Financial World 2030 is not just to hold another essay competition, but to give young people the opportunity to understand finance and offer their own vision of how they might work in a few years.
