The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for operation in the Armed Forces the ground robotic complex "Plyushch". This is an autonomous platform equipped with a 10-meter mast for installing communication repeaters and electronic warfare systems.
The developer of the complex is the Ukrainian company Robotized Complexes, which focuses on creating modular ground platforms for the military.
"Ivy" weighs 1,000 kg and has an electric drive. The robot is capable of accelerating to 12 km/h and has a range of 40 km.
The complex can play the role of:
mobile communication and relay node;
platforms for electronic intelligence (ERI) and electronic warfare (EW);
mobile reconnaissance and surveillance complex.
According to Igor Chaykivsky, founder and CEO of Robotic Complexes, the presence of a mast allows you to significantly expand the communication coverage area, especially in difficult conditions.
"We also envisage an application scenario where the platform takes up a position, camouflages itself and operates in ambush-waiting mode for a long time, with the battery charge lasting for more than four days," Chaykivsky added.
It is reported that the "Ivy" is already being tested at the front. In particular, its use was previously announced by soldiers of the 61st Separate Mechanized Steppe Brigade.
After codification, the robot can be officially supplied to the army. In addition, the developers promise that "Ivy" will soon appear on the Brave1 Market platform, where it can be purchased for "E-points".
