Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that as of December 2025, the Defense Procurement Agency is transferring an average of almost 950 interceptor drones per day.
As the minister noted, the procurement of anti-shahid UAVs is a key priority for 2026. Shmyhal reported that as of December, the Ministry of Defense has contracts with more than 10 drone manufacturers to intercept other drones.
Tactical-grade interceptor drones have recently been added to the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace. This system allows combat teams to independently select the necessary assets to counter enemy reconnaissance and strike UAVs.
Also, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine is conducting systematic work to collect all possible information about the operation of interceptor drones and their effectiveness.
As a reminder, dev.ua previously wrote an extensive article about the advantages of interceptor drones in countering Russian "shaheeds."
