This statement, the audio of which is posted on the White House website, was made by US President Donald Trump during a conversation with reporters.
Trump also added that the US has a huge, virtually "limitless" stockpile of certain weapons.
“When it comes to elite weapons, a lot has been transferred to Ukraine, but we are very quickly restoring these stocks,” he made it clear.
He also added that the US is now manufacturing more Patriot weapons than at any other time.
Trump also named one of his priorities the production and deployment of laser weapons, which, in his words, “could be effective against slow missiles” and “cost almost nothing.”
As dev.ua wrote, a few months ago, Trump stated that the US may allow the production of American missiles in Ukraine and Europe.
At the end of July, the US Department of Defense explained that it was currently studying possible options for granting Ukraine a license to produce interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
Later, the media wrote that the permission promised by US President Donald Trump to launch the production of Patriot missile interceptors in Ukraine is unlikely to yield quick results.
