According to insiders, Trump lives in an alternate world filled with AI slop
US President Donald Trump has found himself in an information cocoon isolated from reality, a significant part of which is content generated by artificial intelligence.

This was reported by The New York Times, citing sources in the White House and Republican circles.
As the Republican Party prepares for a challenging election season, the president is increasingly immersed in a distorted media environment. It consists of loyal news, complimentary materials, destructive videos about opponents, and so-called “AI junk” — low-quality or fabricated AI content.
Sources say a senior mortgage official named Bill Pulte plays a big role in this. He regularly accompanies Trump on Air Force One and shows him internet memes (some of which are AI-generated), posters and documents. One administration official called Pulte a “court jester” in a conversation with reporters.
Such isolation from an objective worldview leads to Trump's sharp reaction to any criticism. For example, after comedian Bill Mara's jokes about Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein and his sympathies for the Holocaust, the president published an emotional and extremely long text of 1,300 words on his social network Truth Social.
Of particular concern is the potential impact of AI directly on government decision-making. According to an exclusive investigation by TIME magazine, Trump became so enamored with Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot that lengthy conversations with it prompted the president to launch a military operation in Venezuela and detain its leader, Nicolas Maduro.
Against the backdrop of these publications, leading Democratic lawmakers have already turned to the White House with official demands to provide records of all Trump's consultations with the Grok chatbot.
