Warsaw police detained three Ukrainian citizens, in whose car spy devices and hacking equipment were found.
Police officers in Warsaw's Srodmiescie district stopped the driver of a Toyota car for a traffic check on Senatorska Street. In addition to the driver, there were two other men in the car. The police checked their documents. It turned out that they were Ukrainian citizens aged 43, 42 and 39. They were visibly nervous. In a conversation with the police officers, they admitted that they were "traveling around Europe", that they had arrived in Poland a few hours ago and were planning a trip to Lithuania soon.

During a search of the car, police found a spy device detector, advanced FLIPPER hacking equipment, antennas, laptops, a large number of SIM cards, routers, portable hard drives and cameras. Polish law enforcement officers believe that all of this could have been used to interfere with the country's strategic IT systems and disrupt IT and telecommunications networks.
The data storage devices found in the car were encrypted, police said. The Ukrainians were unable to explain the purpose of the equipment. They claimed to be IT specialists, but when asked more specific questions, they “forgot” their English and pretended not to understand what was being said to them.
The case materials have been transferred to the Warsaw-Pulnotskyi District Prosecutor's Office. The detainees are charged with fraud, computer fraud, and obtaining devices and computer programs adapted for committing crimes, in particular, attempting to damage computer data, the police said.
The court granted the prosecutor's request, imposing a preventive measure of three months of pre-trial detention on the suspects.
