After a record 520,451 traders and a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title in 2025, WSOT 2026 kicks off on October 29th and brings stocks, gold, and AI trading to the arena for the first time.
Bybit , a new financial platform trusted by over 80 million users worldwide, has announced the return of the World Trading Championship (WSOT), its premier global trading competition. Registration will open on October 29, 2026 at 12:00 Kyiv time, and the competition will run until December 2, 2026. The maximum prize pool will be 10 million USDT.
This year’s theme, “The World Trades Here,” marks the biggest change in WSOT’s six-year history. The competition goes beyond cryptocurrencies to become a multi-asset arena where traders can compete in trading cryptocurrencies, stocks, gold, oil, and indices from a single account, as well as apply AI in a separate new tournament. Ahead of the event, Bybit is inviting traders, creators, and community leaders from around the world to lead their own teams.
Record WSOT 2025
WSOT 2025 was the largest event in the history of the competition. With the elimination of the minimum capital requirement for registration, participation became more accessible than ever, and the result surpassed all previous records:
520,451 participants from 202 countries and regions — almost seven times more than in 2024.
1474 teams formed around the world.
GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title: 71,765 participants joined the competition within 24 hours.
These results summarize six years of WSOT growth. In 2020, the championship started with almost 12,000 participants. By 2024, it had reached 161 countries and a trading volume of $100 billion. Over the years, WSOT has added tiered leagues, copy trading, and participation via DEX. Since its launch, WSOT has evolved from a cryptocurrency tournament to Bybit’s premier global trading competition.
What awaits WSOT 2026 participants
WSOT 2026 reflects Bybit’s development as a global multi-asset platform. The maximum prize pool is divided between five areas and grows with total trading volume:
Team Tournament. Teams compete based on P&L%. Rewards will go to the best team leaders, as well as the first teams formed.
Individual tournament. Traders compete for P&L in three weight categories: light, medium, and heavy.
Global Assets. TradFi spot and perpetual leaderboards cover cryptocurrencies, stocks, gold, oil, and indices.
AI Tournament. A separate leaderboard for traders using Bybit AI or AI sub-accounts.
Warm-up Quest. Trading tasks in five arenas with rewards throughout the event.
Bybit is inviting traders, creators, and community leaders to create and lead their own teams. Applications will be accepted starting October 29th, and both team members and leaders will be able to receive rewards for inviting traders to join the team.
