A new tool, «Radar,» has appeared in the DELTA Mobile mobile application, which will personally notify a serviceman of an approaching air threat.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the new module will send notifications for the selected zone, show the movement of enemy air objects on the map and allow you to adjust the notification radius, as well as its format (voice or audio). The department explains that «Radar» was created so that the military could see a more complete picture of threats in one place and not have to switch between several services. In the future, the functionality of the tool is planned to be expanded by connecting new data sources.
DELTA Mobile is the mobile part of the DELTA ecosystem, which is used for situational awareness. The application provides access to key data on the map and notifications directly from a smartphone. Separately, the Ministry of Defense emphasizes that it can work even in conditions of weak communication or without stable Internet, which is critically important for the front.
Another emphasis in the announcement was on security. DELTA Mobile operates in a secure loop, and updates and version control are centralized through a mobile device management system. This is important given that the application is used in a combat environment, where data leakage or tampering can directly impact military security.
In essence, the appearance of the «Radar» means that DELTA Mobile is moving from a simple mobile map with data to a personal warning tool. For the military, this is primarily about faster response to air risks without unnecessary actions in several applications. As DELTA is gradually overgrown with new modules, the mobile version is increasingly becoming a separate working tool for the user in the field.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the DELTA combat system, used by the Ukrainian military, passed a new independent cyber defense audit. The audit covered both the Vezha module and the Avengers AI platform, and according to its results, no deviations from information security requirements were found.
