This was stated by Iryna Zabolotna, Deputy Director of the Innovation Development Fund, during a press briefing to present the project.
«These are funds attracted to our ecosystem from the European Union. We have 3.3 million euros and the deadline for implementing this grant program is the end of February 2027. We will have three „rounds“, and the first Open Call begins on December 1,» said Zabolotna.
She clarified that there could be up to 12 winners in the first «round».
According to her, each manufacturer who decides to participate in the grant program must go through a «legal track» as well as a defense expertise at the General Staff.
«We have a separate competition commission, our corporate management and the foundation’s supervisory board, which approves and makes decisions on granting the grant,» she added.
Iryna Zabolotna said that when evaluating a grant application, the competition committee will take into account the innovativeness of the product, the adequacy of the estimate, an assessment of the team’s capabilities, and the technical level of readiness.

As dev.ua wrote, within the framework of Brave1, the EU will finance the development of interceptor drones and radars for 3.3 million euros, and Mykhailo Fedorov announced Ukrainian solutions among interceptors that can reach speeds of up to 450 km/h.
In addition, according to Fedorov, in Ukraine, by decision of the General Staff , systematic work is underway to collect all possible information about the operation of interceptor drones and their effectiveness.
