Internet provider "Pavutina" reported a large-scale system failure as a direct result of the shelling.
"We have a large-scale accident. Due to enemy shelling, one of the data centers was damaged, which is why some of our subscribers may currently be without communication. Our specialists are doing everything possible to restore communication as quickly as possible. We ask for a little patience and thank you for your understanding," the company noted .
The company later released additional details. The attack affected multiple digital infrastructure sites, taking down nearly half of the network. The extensive damage damaged critical equipment and communications lines.
Despite this, specialists are already monitoring the situation and carrying out restoration work. The Internet and basic services are planned to be launched via backup channels in the coming hours, although repairs may take longer in some areas.
The provider UTELS also reported communication problems. According to the company, the capital's data center, which houses their key node equipment, was affected.
"As a result of another hostile attack, one of the capital's data centers, where UTELS's node equipment is located, was damaged. It currently remains without power, which may cause disruptions in network operation and access to services," the message says .
Over time, the company announced the start of the deployment of backup lines: "Our technical teams are actively working to restore the network. We will announce the approximate timing of full service restoration in the near future."
Also, the company's website utels.ua is currently not working: the page gives the error "Host Error".
As a result of a missile hitting the central traffic exchange data center in Kyiv, subscribers of the Crazy Network provider in several regions of Ukraine were left without internet and telephony.
According to the company, disruptions are observed in Vinnytsia, Kyiv and settlements of Khmelnytskyi region. Currently, specialists are working to eliminate the consequences in life-threatening conditions in order to restore services as soon as possible. The exact timing of the completion of repair work is not yet known.
