Internet providers are warning users in the capital and the region about possible network outages due to a hostile attack on the night of July 2. In particular, one of the Kyiv data centers was damaged.
Internet providers are warning users in the capital and the region about possible network outages due to a hostile attack on the night of July 2. In particular, one of the Kyiv data centers was damaged.
"As a result of the night attack on Kyiv, the main communication channels and telecommunications infrastructure were damaged, which caused Internet outages in parts of Kyiv and the region," the Internet provider Etherlink warned its subscribers.
The company notes that specialists, together with backbone network operators, are already working to restore communication.
"After the repair work is completed, the service will be restored automatically," Etherlink added.
Vodafone Ukraine has already warned about a similar problem. Home Internet, as well as services such as account replenishment and support, may be disrupted.
The company "Undernet" also reported technical difficulties due to damage to the data center in Kyiv.
"Due to a massive missile attack on Ukraine, one of the key Kyiv data centers, where our central equipment is installed, was damaged. Temporary technical difficulties arose due to this large-scale accident," the company noted .
Due to technical reasons, the company's official website, telephone support, as well as some services and communication services may currently be unavailable.
The Undernet technical team, together with data center specialists, are working to eliminate the consequences of the accident.
