We are opening the business season in the style of the zeros: Business Season Launch will take place in Kyiv
On September 10, the Business Season Launch "Code of Nostalgia: From Zero to the Future" will take place - an event that will open a new business season and bring together CEOs, company leaders, founders, investors, and representatives of the technology ecosystem.
This year, Business Season Launch will invite participants to return to the atmosphere of the 2000s for one evening — the era of Nokia, floppy disks, Dendy, Sega, slot machines, and the first major technological changes. However, nostalgia will be only a starting point for the main conversation of the evening: how Ukrainian business and the technology industry have changed over the past 20+ years and what the next two decades may be like.

From zero to the business of the future
Back in the early 2000s, starting a business required completely different tools and capabilities. Mobile connectivity was expensive, international payments and access to global markets were much more difficult, and the digital services that entrepreneurs use every day today were just starting to emerge.
Over the past two decades, technology, communication speed, investment methods, financial instruments, and the very approach to starting a company have changed. However, one thing remains the same: a strong business environment starts with making connections, sharing experiences, and finding people to collaborate with.
It is around this idea that UNIT.City will unite entrepreneurs and business leaders at the Business Season Launch.
Nostalgia as part of the show
In a light format, the speakers will talk about quite serious things: what the first years of their business were like, what limitations they had to work with, what was a turning point for their industries, and what changes had the greatest impact on Ukrainian entrepreneurship.
Representatives of business, the financial sector, and the tech industry will join the conversation. Through the speakers' personal stories, participants will be able to trace the path from the business realities of zero to the modern economy, in which Ukrainian companies create technological products, work with international markets, and compete globally. A separate topic will be the future: what decisions today determine the next stage of business development and what entrepreneurs who are launching companies should know right now.
The atmosphere of the 2000s at the Business Season Launch will be recreated not only in the design of the space. It will become part of the scenario itself. Guests will be greeted by familiar artifacts of the era - from rotary phones, CDs and Tamagotchi to Dendy and Sega, retro music and slot machines.
The program will continue with a quiz, and the evening will be a place for acquaintances and networking between representatives of the Ukrainian business and technology community.
