Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree "On measures to improve the taxation system and tax administration." According to it, representatives of the IT industry, as well as entities engaged in creative and artistic activities, will be provided with a number of tax benefits.
According to the Kyrgyz national news agency Kabar, several categories will be exempt from paying taxes for a period of 5 years:
IT sphere;
artificial intelligence developers;
mobile application developers;
bloggers;
remote workers of foreign companies;
startups;
persons involved in the production of films, videos and television programs;
other types of creative and artistic activities determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
In addition, the preferential income tax rate for the above categories is set at 5%, and insurance premiums are set at 12%.
According to the State Tax Service, this event will contribute to the transformation of Kyrgyzstan into one of the regional centers for the development of IT, artificial intelligence, and creative industries, attracting talented specialists, innovative companies, and investments from around the world.
"Such tax breaks will contribute to an increase in the number of new startups and innovative projects, attracting investments, creating additional jobs for young people and highly qualified specialists, as well as increasing the export of digital services," the report says.
