UPD. Ukrtelecom is preparing to launch the virtual mobile operator U Mobile

A new virtual mobile operator (MVNO) under the U Mobile brand from Ukrtelecom will appear on the Ukrainian telecommunications market. The service will allow combining home optical Internet using GPON technology and mobile communications into single convergent packages (FMC) for the B2C segment.

This was reported by the technical community of the Ukrainian telecommunications market MZU. According to them, the operator is preparing a line of tariffs for private users called "Seven".

U Mobile's basic packages will include 15 GB or 60 GB of mobile internet, 500 minutes for calls within Ukraine and 15 SMS. The key difference will be the calendar billing model. Unlike the "big three" operators, which calculate the fee for 4 weeks (28 days), the new operator will write off estimates for the full calendar month - from the 1st to the last day.

There is also an "Easy Start" period: if you pay the tariff, the service will be provided without additional charges until the 1st of the following month. Subscribers will receive discounts of 15% if they identify or port their number through the MNP procedure, as well as an additional 5% for using promotional codes.

Preparations for the launch are also confirmed by data from the trademark register. In July 2025, Ukrtelecom filed a number of applications for registration of the trademarks U Mobile and UT Mobile. The application for a logo in the form of the letter "u" with the text "UT Mobile" in yellow, blue, black and white has already passed formal examination. The submitted list covers class 38 (telecommunications, mobile communications and Internet access), class 35 (marketing and retail) and class 42 (IT services and software development).

UPD. The press service of Ukrtelecom confirmed in a comment to dev.ua that it will soon announce new services.

"Ukrtelecom will soon present new products for users. So follow our official channels. In the meantime, pre-orders can be made at simka.umobile.ua. After all, who wouldn't want to become the first U Mobile subscriber?", the company's press service said in a statement.

Currently, the site is only accepting pre-orders from mobile numbers of users who want to use U Mobile services.
