The educational app Mriya will feature gamification elements reminiscent of the language learning app Duolingo. Students will also be able to earn points for watching educational videos and taking quizzes.
«This year, we are launching gamification in Mriya — so that learning is not an obligation, but a game. Schoolchildren will collect lights for completed homework — like a streak in Duolingo», — said the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Mykhailo Fedorov.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation describes this as a «chain of activity,» where students will receive lights for each completed task. It is noted that this will help children form useful habits and consistency from the first grades.
The app will also feature a daily mini-quiz «Smarties,» which will be adapted to the user’s age. Children will be able to choose topics based on their interests.
The state, together with Ukrainian businesses, will motivate schoolchildren to study and develop, the Ministry of Digital Transformation says. To this end, the application will feature an internal currency called «Mriyka», which children will earn for watching educational videos, taking quizzes, and completing homework.
Schoolchildren will be able to exchange «Dreams» for real bonuses from project partners:
movie tickets;
master classes and clubs based on interests;
VR quests;
programming courses, English conversation clubs, soft skills development.
«This turns education from a routine into an experience. Children are engaged, develop, and receive real rewards for it», — commented Fedorov.
Kyivstar TV, Multiplex, Just School, Buki, Planeta Kino, Zamknenii and other Ukrainian businesses have already joined the project.
We will remind you that yesterday at the EdTech event, the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science presented the free educational digital ecosystem «Mriya», which was expanded to the entire country after the completion of beta testing. dev.ua told what is known about the system, who has already connected to the «Mriya» network, and what ambitious plans have been set for the number of connections and the development of additional functionality that they plan to add to the system.
«If all teachers in our schools start giving grades at the same time, it will be compatible with a very serious DDoS attack.» What is known about the educational application «Mriya», which was launched throughout Ukraine
