The Ministry of Defense has codified the high-speed interceptor from TAF Industries Kolibri-i10.

According to the press service of the deftech company, the interceptor can already be purchased through the DOT-Chain Defence system, in particular, through the ePoints program.

«The idea of creating the TAF Kolibri-i10 was born from the practice of using the Kolibri 10 FPV drone to intercept enemy wings. Combat experience has shown the high effectiveness of this approach, so we created a completely new specialized interceptor with our own design for this type of mission instead of modernizing an existing product,» TAF Industries noted.

TAF Kolibri-i10 is designed primarily to destroy Russian reconnaissance and kamikaze attack drones — «Molniya», Orlan, Zala.

«Field tests have already confirmed the effectiveness of this interceptor, so we have already begun scaling it up,» shared TAF Industries CEO Volodymyr Zinovsky.

The TAF Kolibri-i10 interceptor is equipped with a new strong frame that can withstand loads better and has an optimized location of fasteners. The manufacturer also installed more powerful motors, a more reliable camera mount and replaced the propellers with high-speed ones. As TAF Industries assures, the product has improved overall aerodynamics.

Among the main characteristics of the drone:

  • speed over 200 km/h;
  • flight range up to 25 km;
  • more than 20 minutes in the air;
  • altitude up to 3000 m.

Manual control gives the operator full control in critical moments, and digital day or night cameras allow for operation in a variety of conditions. Meanwhile, the MilELRS firmware ensures stable operation in active electronic warfare environments.

The interceptor and the UAV for it are already available for order on the company’s website and on the Brave1 Market platform. The price of the UAV with a daytime digital camera is 31,700 UAH, and with a night digital camera — 64,500 UAH.

As dev.ua reported, TAF Industries is developing its own software platform for drones and is collaborating with Yaroslav Azhnyuk’s «Fourth Law».

It is also known that the deftech company TAF Industries has joined the new EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance as a founding company .
