«From the point of view of what I see as an expert on Brave1, the ideas are not over… We still have unfilled niches, we know about them and there are companies, there are developers who are trying to fill these niches,» he noted in an interview with Militarny.
At the same time, according to Honchar, Ukrainian manufacturers have still not managed to launch into mass production a drone model that would be very close to the Chinese Mavic in terms of all characteristics.
«First of all, I don’t see any production in Ukraine yet that is capable of producing in such quantities as DJI does. Well, and secondly, let’s be honest with ourselves… In some indicators, we have products that are better than the Mavic, but in terms of the totality of indicators, well, show me something that fits into such a box, has such optical sensor indicators, such flight indicators, such software, such radio,» he expressed his opinion.
Answering the question of when Ukrainian interceptor drones will become arguments against Russian air attacks, the co-founder of Aerorozvidka noted that there are already areas where Ukrainians do not allow Russian reconnaissance drones to fly.
«We found this key, we learned it. Now we just have to improve it, as they say, to get our hands dirty,» added Gonchar.
