Microsoft has started testing a new widget for Windows 11 that displays the battery level of your PC and all connected peripherals in a single menu.
As noted in the developer blog within the Windows 11 Insider Experimental Preview Build 26340.9616 build, the innovation is designed to simplify power control of gadgets without the need to search for the appropriate settings in different sections of the system.
A widget called Battery Status collects information about the remaining battery life of your computer and wireless peripherals — such as mice, keyboards, or headsets.
“This widget provides a single display of battery levels for your PC and peripherals, helping you quickly assess power status without searching through multiple places in the user interface,” Microsoft notes.
Windows Insiders on new builds can already try out the feature. To do this, go to the Widgets panel, click Add Widgets, and select Battery Status.
