This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron following a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, Reuters reports .
«This afternoon, President Zelensky and I agreed on a roadmap between our two countries that implements the agreements in principle on our bilateral cooperation in the field of defense,» Macron said at a press conference after meeting with Zelensky and other European leaders.
Macron also added that radar systems, as well as next-generation SAMP-T air defense systems, will be transferred to Ukraine.
In addition, agreements have been reached on the delivery of sixteen Rafale military aircraft to Ukraine by 2028-2029.
Zelensky has already managed to thank Macron for these decisions on his Twitter channel, and also announced an agreement with US President Donald Trump on Ukraine obtaining licenses for the production of missiles for Patriot systems.
«Our teams are now working to implement this truly historic political agreement,» he noted.
As dev.ua reported, the United States plans to grant Ukraine an official license to independently produce interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
At the same time, according to media reports, the launch of Patriot missile production in Ukraine could take years.
