This became known during the visit of German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius to Ukraine, Suspilne reports.
According to the minister, German and Ukrainian defense companies have already moved to the practical implementation of promising projects. The German government is seeking to create new German-Ukrainian joint ventures. The main emphasis is on creating means to deter attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and destroy enemy air defense systems.
«The development of long-range drones is key to deterring Russian attacks on Ukraine’s military infrastructure. At the same time, we are using the experience of Ukrainians on the battlefield. In the case of mass use, such drones can effectively suppress and destroy enemy air defense systems,» said Boris Pistorius.
In addition to large-scale production, Berlin plans to support developers through the Brave1 platform. This will allow the German side to invest in promising innovations and more quickly scale technological solutions tested in real combat conditions.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov thanked Germany for its support and noted that unprecedented assistance packages for air defense and infrastructure protection have made Berlin Ukraine’s main global partner.
Recall that in April, Ukrainian arms manufacturers, including Fire Point, TAF Industries, and WIY,signed a number of cooperation agreements with German defense companies. They provide for joint ventures and production in Germany.
